This large centrepiece by the young designer Abi Alice revisits a theme already addressed in Italian design: that of the sheet steel cut first flat, then bent and welded to achieve its final form, but done with such new grace and freshness as to merit production.
The designs by Abi Alice reflect the young Australian’s interest in geometry and mathematics. Alice uses the geometry inherent in her designs and pictures to create three-dimensional sculptural objects.
